As a young university student, the idea of studying abroad in a completely foreign country was as intimidating as it was intriguing. Even though I was majoring in biological sciences, I chose to defer from my course of study for one semester to participate in an italian language and culture study abroad program. This decision was the best one that I made during my undergraduate career. In fact, I loved the experience so much that I enrolled in a second study abroad program the year after!
